Even while Entertainment Management alumni Christina Aubry was cutting and styling hair, music surrounded her, and as it started making up the fabric of her personal life, her passion for hairdressing dulled. What was a fresh slate at Collarts has now led to a right-hand position at the prestigious Michael Parisi Management, working alongside homegrown talent like Vera Blue, Polish Club, and more.
Entertainment Management alumni Emma Graham's dream was to be a tennis star. But as she picked up a guitar, wrote a few songs, and went to a couple of festivals, she realised that backstage, away from the lights and working closely with artists, is where she wanted to be. Now, Emma has hooked a job at Australia and New Zealand's largest music and entertainment group Mushroom; she retraces her steps during her time at Collarts that have helped her make strides in the industry.
Not everyone knows what they want to do right out of high school. For Entertainment Management student Bridget McMullen, embracing uncertainty was what led her to take a step back and listen to her gut feelings. After doing a gap year in England, it was in her return to Melbourne that she found her intuition leading her to research her options; discovering Collarts as a viable pathway to pursue a career in the music industry.
For Erin Bridson, living in Ballarat didn't stop her from focusing on the bigger picture and studying Entertainment Management. From working internships as part of her studies to freelancing full-time, Erin now works as the Ticketing & Tour Operations Assistant at Live Nation Australia, the largest live entertainment company in the world. Here's how she worked on tours for Drake, The Weekend, P!NK, Bruno Mars, Ms Lauryn Hill, Shania Twain, Fleetwood Mac and more.
